Moroccan Beef
From memory this was quite sweet.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp oil
- 600g diced beef
- 1 onion
- 3 carrots
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tin tomatoes
- 1 tbsp middle eastern spice
- 1 1/2 cups cold water
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/3 cup pearl barley
Method
Chop onion and carrot. Heat oil in a pan. Brown beef and add to slow cooker. Cook onion and carrot for five minutes. Add garlic, middle eastern spice and cook for 1 minute. Add to slow cooker. Add tomatoes and cold water to slow cooker. Cook for 4 hours. Add raisins, pearl barley and 1 cup of water. Cook for a further 2 hours.
